The show was a lot of fun, we really enjoyed meeting everyone. Most all the shiba people that were there were super nice and informative, tho some had that typical "smug" vibe.
We met some people that really knew their stuff when it comes to Nihon-Ken. Jen and I stepped out of the car and started walking towards the event and a lady asked "is that a Shikoku"... we were so stoked to be asked that! No one EVER guesses the correct breed right off the bat, it was really cool!
The Shikas got a lot of attention, but Kona didn't... he was pretty mellow and well behaved tho.
Ahi was super grumpy and hyper, so sorry to anyone that found her to be annoying. I think she was a little extra bitchy due to Loa still being in heat - she seemed almost protective at times.
I felt bad that I couldn't talk to people more because I was always holding Ahi away from everyone - next time we will bring a crate for her!

It was an absolute pleasure to meet all of you! The Andersons, the Demers and Corina. I had had a very trying week prior to the meet, but the interaction with all of you helped take my mind off of those issues. And for this I am forever grateful.
And man, your Shikokus were beautiful !!! Thanks guys ... now I want one. We need to do this again ... I'll drive to San Diego or Toas. ROADTRIP !!!
Best Regards,
John
And very beautyful dogs. :-)
I'm really happy to see photos of Shikoku, I never see Shikoku in real. (There are no Shikoku Ken in France actually)
How many dogs are there at this show?
Very cool Brad. Thanks for sharing. There are too many to comment, but I love Loa's love affair. And the Shiba puppy was adorable. and ....

Cool photos, like the one with Kona and his tongue out a lot!!
