Its official - I've paid for her and the paperwork is being transferred to my name.
Bijozakura just turned 5 years old. She already has three healthy, beautiful litters to her name and a number of awards. This past weekend she was bred to handsome red male Zuigansakura Go and with any luck puppies will be due around October 27th.

Bijozakura will arrive September 29th with Ai, the teenage daughter of a long time family friend and surrogate Japanese aunt. Ai will stay with our family for three days before heading back home.
Her owner felt the long delay was best given her possible pregnancy. Some delay is necessary in order to make all of the preparations, including transfer of ownership, payment, vaccines, microchip, vet check, booked airfare, availability of someone to fly with Bijo, etc. Because it would take at least 2 weeks to do all of that, he felt it would be best to wait past the 1 - 3 week window when the embryos are exceptionally fragile.
@poeticdragon Congrats!!!!! So excited, she'll be the perfect mama doggy to the rest of the clan. I LOVE the name Bijo, it translates directly to "pretty lady". Very fitting!

Would need to see a side profile to compare against Karin. :-)
So, she will be over 5 yrs old then? Can she still be bred at that age?
And so is Karin. Hehe
Do you have a call name picked out for her yet?!
