  • I'm so sorry this happened that sounds awful. Just a thought, if one was able to get around to the back side of the dog that is the attacker and didn't want to grab it's legs to pull him/her off could you groin kick them or would that make it worse? I know when people get into fights that's one of the things my wife and I were trained to do. Just make sure you kick really hard with your shin not your foot other wise it might break.
  • Horrible story! Good to hear that Panda is doing okey. Maybe we can now really say that Nihon Kens have thick skin.
  • So glad Panda is safe could been much worse. :(

I get so sick of mean off leash dogs I'm not against off leash dogs, but in a busy city there isn't much place for it.. I deal with rat terrier who is allowed to roam she charges and snarls and attempted to go for Saya once I didn't let her get near, but pissed me off she tried it.

Owners just let their dog off leash and they even curse at me so I know where their dog gets mean attitude..
  • @TaraA I'm really glad she is ok and going to be fine - I had a goat who had a puncture wound from a coyote that happened at it's previous owners farm and we used a cream antibiotic that went directly into the puncture wound via the hole made by the tooth. I'll try to find out what it was called for sure - it was an Rx.... it worked much better for her because her body had already walled off the cyst so the internal antibiotics were unable to penetrate to thoroughly get rid of the infection. Might be worth asking your vet about in case the bacteria from the bite causes her body to react swiftly by walling off the infection?
SO glad you guys are all right!
  • How is Panda doing?
  • sorry to hear what happened, i hope panda is doing well.
