My big brave Akita...
Just thought I'd share a funny story:
My mother sent all my dogs toys for Christmas. They were previously loved plush toys--her malemute mix died a few months ago, and her wolf-hybrids don't play with toys, so she decided to send them to us. There was a sheep squeaky toy (which we named Sheepa), a dog squeaky, and big cow that mooed when you pressed it. It had been Angel's (the malemute) favorite apparently, and since it was big, my mother sent it to Oskar.
We gave them all the toys, and there was general merriment, until Oskar squeezed the cow and it mooed. He dropped it and ran. Of course, this intrigued Bel, who picked it up and made it moo like crazy. By this time Oskar had his head and tail down and was backing away. Then he ran upstairs and would not come down! Later, with him and Bel upstairs, we let Toby in, and Toby also LOVED the cow, and in fact, broke the mooing part through overuse. But when Oskar, upstairs, heard the mooing, he wanted to go outside so we let him out, and it took hours to convince him it was safe to go back inside.
My big brave Akita boy, terrified of a cow toy!
now that the mooing part is disabled, he seems ok with the toy, but poor boy, what trauma! A scary cow!

That is kind of funny that big burly Oskar is afraid of a little moo.
(I have been living vicariously through others until I am ready for another Akita)
