Hilo loves Kaia - but the feelings just aren't mutual

This is a cute clip:

Jen was watching some odd show in the background so excuse all the screaming - it kinda goes with the clip tho. There is also a shot of Ahi completely destroying Hilo's new puppy bone. Undecided

HAHA!  I love how catlike Kaia is...she wasnt even screaming or anything from what I heard.  Was that the bone all over the floor and what Huku had???  That is too funny!  How Long did that last?

Honestly Brad...I know you are not attached at all to Hilo so I willing to make the sacrifice and take him off your hands!!!!

Kaia didn't make a sound, she just wanted Hilo to understand she didn't want to be "loved" like that. Right after I shot that Hilo moved over to the other side of the couch. Yes, that is the bone all over the place - Huku and Ahi killed that thing all night. It was like a sponge - something we got for Hilo to chew on to help clean his teeth.

lol - yea right! Hilo is my buddy! He "climbed" into my bed this AM and watched TV with me (Jen helped him up).

It is hilarious. Moto lives with four cats and acts just like Hilo towards them. And the cats are equally as unamused as Kaia.

As individual as each dog is it never ceases to amaze me how many similarities they can have.

hi, brad: your hilo are soooo big brother like, how he can get long with others? do you think it would be ok for me to have a shikoku first and then have a akita? or other way around? by the way, i have checked akita breeders, is yours are japanese akita or american akita? which breeder did you go to? i like you hilo very much, he look like a bear, but can i deal with 2 dogs at same time? and my bossy cat?  god knows!!!Innocent

It's a good bet to add an Akita last - and if you get a female Shikoku get a male Akita, or visa versa. Japanese breeds seem to do great in male / female pairs.

Hilo is a Japanese Akita (Akita Inu) - we had to import him from Madrid because we could not find any 100% Akita Inu breeders in America at the time. Hilo came from a very small breeder - Hilo's breeder was referred to us by another breeder in Spain named Silvia. Here is her site:

Also Izyda Bach-Zelewska breeds Akita Inu - she is in Poland. She also breeds Shikoku and has one from Katja. Here is her site:

There is a breeder in Florida. His name is Michael Sanders - this is his site:

    http://www.inu.com/

The kennel that breed Hilo is "Kayoyoi Tomodachi" - he doesn't have a website.

I'm sure there are other good breeders out there, these are just the only good quality respectable breeders I know of.

Two dogs at once is not horrible - it's when you pass the two dog barrier that it starts to get complicated. Two puppies would be harder, but if you are doing all the puppy stiff for one - why not do it for 2? Laughing

    Hope that helps!
