Treats
I thought I would start up a thread where you can talk about new treats you are feeding your dog, or their favorites.
Last night at a wonderful local pet supply store called Bad Dog Frida they had a treat tasting night for "VIP" (on their e-mail list) customers. They had treats for dogs and humans. I stopped by (without Nemo) and they packed up a big sample bag of all their possible new offerings. The favorites of the dogs, and best value rated by the customers, would decide which treats they are going to stock in the future. There were a lot of cute dogs there enjoying all the free snacks.

I took the samples home to Nemo and fed him some, however he eats anything and everything, so it was hard to tell if he loved them.
When I was there I picked up a bag of treats by the Northern Biscuit Bakery out of Canada.

They offer a few different grain free treats, for those looking to avoid giving any grain to your dog. I purchased the Honey Glazed Duck with real Papaya for Nemo, and he seems to like them. They also have a Green Tripe treat! What a disgusting biscuit. :P
Also picked up some Buddy Biscuits for Nemo. He has always liked their flavor and they are big enough that Nemo actually has to chew them. So they are great for his "bedtime" treat. Buddy Biscuits have grain but are free of corn, and a very reasonable price.

Snooks seems to have some other nice products too.
Actually been wanting to make treats for them, but not sure which recipe books would be good.

Snooks look good too.
Miso and Sake also love frozen yogurt cubes that I make for them.

Every dog is different and responds differently, so maybe it wouldn't hurt? I don't have enough definitive info to give you, though. Sorry!
Treats in our house are: Grizzly NuTreats Salmon Treats (for training), Wagger's champion chips (www.waggers.com), raspberries, blackberries, cheese curds, carrots, steamed sweet potato chunks and baked sweet potato slices. We have been filling the kong with cream cheese or cottage cheese mixed with peanut butter or squash or fishy fudge. In the summer we get fancy and make frozen yogurt/fruit/oat cubes and all that.
The Alvarado puppies are pretty "treat"-ed out, I would say
I plan to dehydrate chicken hearts, beef heart pieces, liver, boneless lean meat, and sweet potatoes.. I might dehydrate trachea when I get some might not.
I was thinking of getting Nesco one

Or this L'Equipe dehydrator
http://www.amazon.com/LEquip-306200-500-Watt-6-Tray-Dehydrator/dp/B00004Z4GQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1359056059&sr=1-1&keywords=L'Equipe+dehydrator
I'm open to other brands too I'd like to get a good one so I don't have to re buy one after a month of use..
I never used a dehydrator before so not sure what is best thing to look for.
Saya eats raw so It'd be nice to include dehydrated stuff for recall treats.
She loves kibble and dog treats like zukes and home made peanut butter biscuits or fish fudge..
