  He's a great Akita and father to an impressive female (at least), Asayake.

  IMHO he represents what is the ultimate in the breed. His son Sieou-Go is impressive too but kakusui is the ultimate. I need to get to Italy just to meet him. I want to be able to say I laid hands on the great one.

  That is the great grandparent of Fuji, Lani, and Hilo. He is one of my favorites too.
  
  I really wish Hilo didn't have all his issues, I think he would look a lot like his father and grandfather.

  I really love Kakusui.
  I've got kakusui in Ashitaka's pedigree (Ashitaka: kensei + Kakusui) and Ryu's pedigree too.
  kakusui has the best head type and perfect body I ever seen on an Akita Ken.
