Raging Hormones...
So yesterday while I was at work...
...apparently Shoushuu WANTED inside the house. George had just "checked up" on him and left. Then Mr. Shoushuu decided to go through the CLOSED glass window -sighs-. About 20 minutes later George found a loose dog running amuck unsupervised in the house with doggie toys scattered across the floor.
Then THIS MORNING, I threw him out on a tie out. I was sitting here on my laptop contently eating my cereal and then I heard the shatter of glass! He STILL was able to get through the not so well mended broken glass window and just broke it even more.
The lucky jerk was able to go through without injury both times. That's a relief.
I just realized "why" he would plunge through a glass window. As soon as I unclipped him from the tie out...ZIP...he's ON TOP of Kotomi's crate. That explains it! As Miss Kotomi is currently about 2 and half weeks into her heat cycle. So he REALLY wanted to get to her and nothing was gonna keep him from her. Luckually, he has yet to figure out how to open wire crates -smiles-.
So, yeah...I need a new window.
Meanwhile we plan on boarding up both sides with (thick) WOOD <--- at least this will take him awhile to tear through, if he's determined enough, lol.

Glad he, or anyone else, didn't get injured by the breaking glass.
But Corina, you better watch out for those UFP's... ;-) (sorry, I HAD to say it, no one else had!)
Hang in there, that doggy daycare sounds like a good idea for him (so long as there are no other females there that are iin or about to go in heat)
Yeah, watch out or those UFP's.
Since you know. They can go through fences.
The UFP epidemic is running rampant through this forum, how many threads has it infected? How many more threads will it hijack and steer into hilarity? Only time will tell.
I'll see how it goes, I might just end up relocating him to my bedroom for the next 2 weeks.
He's actually surprisingly calm for a male. He's quiet, very quiet and seems pretty relaxed in a crate next to Kotomi. He usually just sleeps but will sometimes try to get Kotomi's attention by rubbing up against his crate or pawing at it. It's only sometimes that he'll jump on top of her crate or try to. Jumping through the glass window was about as "crazy" as he's gotten...
Kotomi has been vocalizing a lot though recently...mostly just high pitched yaps, growls and pretty nasty snarls directed at Shoushuu (she still LOVES Lynx though and is SUPER SWEET -smiles-).
Steph, if a (U)FP can go through fences, this must include wire crates. Miss Kotomi must be like, "Eww gross! Don't you dare try to touch me with that thing! lol. <--- remember they are still just babies, Kotomi more so. Shoushuu is like an older kid now -grins-.
Damn the UFP's...I guess there's no escaping it. Since Shoushuu is the only non-human male in this house...if I send him away on a trip, I won't have to worry about UFP's, right? LOL.
