Apparently Hilo has had some complications, his vital signs are bad and he is bleed and swollen in the surgical area. He has to be monitored over night - Jen said he looked horrible and he was in a tiny little crate to restrict his movement. Shit, I don't get it, the Anderson pack must just have really bad Karma right now or something. Not sure what we did to deserve all this. I can't write anymore w/o getting upset... I don't know anything about Hilo's health background or health issues but know that most dogs are pretty tough. At least the vet made a conscience decision to keep him overnight rather than hand him back in poor shape. Neutering later in age can require a little more care and recovery time. Some dogs have difficulty with anesthesia, so combined it requires careful monitoring. Wishing you the best.....I know it will be a restless night.....hang in there. I know its probably not that comforting to hear, but your pups are very lucky to have you and Jen. All of the issues they are going through are made a million times easier because of you.
