I saw this informercial today on tv, it looked pretty cool and im acutally considering it.  I always get a bit tense cutting the pups nails because i don't want to get their quick on accident.  Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this product or own it and how they like it.  I've always considered getting a dremmel, but i thought the noise might freak the pups out.  This product looks easier and safer to use compared to the dremmel and regular clippers.  What do you guys think?

I know people who have accidentally filed down to the quick using that. And honestly Romi, I think Ninja would go crazy if you turned that thing on him.

I let the groomer cut Jake's nails and deal with all that wet loose hair -- 3 to 4 times a year is well worth my less headache.

I am having Jazz's nail ground.  When I got her, her nails were extremely long.  Her quicks were all the way at the end and it had to be very painful for her.  I think that's another reason why the fur was not re-growing on her front paws.  We are at the schedule of getting her nails ground weekly.  Her nails are about 1/3 the length they were when I got her and they are still considered long.  We're hoping that in another 2 mos, we should be able to stop with the weekly grinding.

love the akita in the ad! and I think they photoshopped the dog in the 'as seen on tv' picture b/c my dog would so not sit for this, unless she was drugged. heavily drugged.

Romi: First of all, I say again...it's "by accident" and "on purpose" but NEVER "on accident"! :-P Second, I have to agree with Rina. Using this will not eliminate the potential for hitting the quick like their add would have you believe. It may be a quieter version of the dremmel, but it looks clunky and would make it much more difficult to see what you are doing compared to the dremmel. For $30 though it may be worth the experiment.
