# Another question about heat

Hey guys,

Kelly is also having diarrhea now, i did some research but couldnt find a definite answer on whether this was normal or not. has anyone else experienced this>

So she's vomiting and has diarrhea? That is NOT normal. I would call the emergency vet ASAP and see what they have to say about it.

I second Kyla. God knows what it could be... An infection, an allergy, or worse. Get her there as fast as you can. Praying for the poor girl. ~

Yeah, I would take her to the vet right away. Waiting till Tuesday is not the best idea ... :(

Time to go to the vet ---- sounds like she has a serious infection or something! Neither symptom is associated with the heat, so I agree --- go now!

before i was off to school this morning i noticed that her poop was back to normal.. im going to see if she vomits again today as well.

i regret to say that Tuesday is the only possible day i can take her and the appointment is already set up and i briefed them of the situation.

If you don't have access to one right now, I strongly suggest that you get the contact to an emergency vet. You never know when you're going to need one. If her poop is getting back to normal it might be a good sign, but just because this time it might be nothing, there's always the chance that, one of these days, it will be something serious and you can't make an appointment.

Next chance you get, spay her. An emergency spay due to a pyometra is way more inconvenient, time consumming, costly and dangerously life threatening than preventative care. Also, some dogs are just miserable when they are in heat even though they are otherwise healthy. It's kindest to spay. I hope she is alright.
