The dogs had fun doing mini agility runs on them and hunting for mice. Ike confiscated a golf ball, Beebe found a mouse nest within 10 minutes and rolled in it after killing the little critter (gross), reaffirming my belief that if my dogs were to ever become wild, they would be able to fend without much trouble. ## Zinja · 2009-02-01T04:09:54.000Z That sounds like a perfect place to go training. Basically, if we ever plan to title in Obedience or become successful at Lure Coursing and Agility, she needs to have a good recall and that will only happen if we do a lot of practice under mega distractions but in safe areas, the base is fenced. Shibas are totally capable of succeeding in dog sport but they take a hundred times more work in certain areas (like recalls and focus) than say a GSD or Aussie. Anyways, I'm not trying to turn her into a Golden Retriever, but I know she can do these exercises.
