So, I totally forgot that I can type in Japanese D: Upon remembering...this has opened up a whole new possibility to look at more Nihon Ken pictures!!! :D Typing the dog breeds in japanese on a japanese search site yields different results than typing in english. I'll be honest, I was getting tired of looking at the exact same pictures over & over again. :p So some Japanese spammage links! - Mostly Kishu, though there's the other breeds as well - Shikoku Owner's Blog - Click on the red & blue links to see tons of Shikoku Pictures - More Kishu! - Shibas! :) Sorry if these have been posted already :) also, for some reason...I　can't get any Kai to come up! I've tried; 会　犬　＆　かい　犬　＆　かい　トラ　犬　＆　トラ　犬。　But alas, nothing :( I know it's not as exciting for you guys that actually have real life nihon ken laying around, but I had fun looking at the pictures so thought I might as well share :) ~

Osy, try 甲斐犬 for Kai That should do the trick. I apologize to everyone without Japanese fonts, this will look like a bunch of jibberish :P (Shiba 柴犬, Kai 甲斐犬, Kishu 紀州犬, Shikoku 四国犬, Hokkaido 北海道犬, Akita 秋田犬, Ryu-kyu 琉球犬, Tosa 土佐犬)

Awesome.... thanks for the spam! I am looking at the Kishus and they look sooo much like some of the Jindos that have been picked up or fostered. It is just amazing how much the two breeds resemble each other. Makes me wonder if there is/has been some crossing going on somewhere along the lines here in the U.S. Snf

For the lazy: Put it through Google Translator. :) It's not always very accurate, but it will give you the jist of what they're saying. I used it for a site I found where the guy had a shikoku and some mystery breeds, and used them to hunt wild boar. It was kind of cool.
