There are only 3 (current) breeders in the US for Kai. None are in Texas, they are all up north.

i think i located one in new mexico, i forget the name of the kennel of hand, but what information could you provide regarding the ones up north. i am planning a trip to the washington area next year, and perhaps can arrange something. any information would be greatly appreciated.

Well, if you want to know what breeder I would go with, it would be Classy Kennel. www.classykennel.com Personally, I think Classy has the best Kai Ken and most diverse lines in North America. ----

I should add, our Kai Ken is from Classy. This is Kona: I have met most of her Kai, and I was impressed by them. ----

Also, Peggy at o'ikon Shikoku kennel may still have a few Kai pups - she did a Kai breeding earlier this year [or late last year]. You may want to contact her. Here partner Kai kennel was Mijikai. ----
