So I usually use Firefox, which is decent but could be better IMO. I downloaded Google Chrome to see how it is and I just did not like it at all. Especially on forums. I walked away from a board, came back and refreshed the page to see the new updates. It decided during the update that it was going to post the last comment I made again. Tiny annoyance but I know it'll get old very fast. I also didn't like the fact that it kept a link to my Firefox at all times so the bookmark and browser history were constantly in sync because it slowed my Firefox down when it came to productivity. Hate IE. Errik is trying out Safari and I'll probably try that out next. What browser do you use? Would you recommend it? Pros and cons?

Firefox because it looks like a Shiba...do you really need another reason? :) Okay, Kidding aside, I happen to think IE7 and Firefox 3.0 are quite capable browsers. I like them both for different reasons but their main use is very similar to me for what I use it for. I'm a developer by trade so I don't really put much doodads (toolbars, add-ons, etc.) in the toolbar anyways. Thanks, Jesse

Firefox. I like the add-ons you can choose. Some of them are pretty helpful. On the downside, it's a bit of a memory hog. I have Safari and don't use it much. I have been wanting to try Camino since I got the mac, but never got myself to actually download it.

I can't seem to get games that require Shockwave to work using Firefox. How do you like a Mac Rui? This laptop is dying on me (last time I ever buy a computer "open box") so I'm contemplating if I should try out a Mac next.

## Leonberger (admin) · 2008-09-05T22:21:02.000Z
I'm liking it a lot. I've always been a Windows user, but Vista wasn't for me. So I decided to change and since I work with Macs it wasn't even a transition. And I can install XP if I feel I need it. I'll probably buy an iBook next year or so.

## sujewel · 2008-09-05T22:21:53.000Z
I love Firefox. Especially since, like Rui, I'm coming from Safari. Safari SUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKSSSSS. Too slow. Drives me crazy.

I use firefox and Chad uses IE. Firefox just crashed and I am stuck with IE right now and I HATE it and am miserable.

The last time I touched a Mac I was in 9th grade (15 years old). I'm sure a LOT has changed in the past 6-7 years lmao. I should go play around with the ones at the stores. Haha really Barbara? With Errik's computer, Safari has been faster than Firefox.

Has he update to the new Firefox, Rina? However, the old version of firefox was waaay quicker than my Safari browser. However, Safari is better than IE.

I have Firefox and Safari, I prefer Firefox. I like using tabs. :)

## okiron · 2008-09-05T22:43:06.000Z
Yup, new Firefox Barbara. But Safari has tabs too Steph ;)

## JessicaRabbit (admin) · 2008-09-05T22:45:09.000Z

## TheWalrus · 2008-09-05T22:53:33.000Z
I use Firefox. Can't stand IE. But since I installed the new version, my com tends to crash/restart itself alot. Prolly totally unrelated crash, maybe my RAM or something.

## JessicaRabbit (admin) · 2008-09-05T22:53:52.000Z

## MommyofNiko · 2008-09-05T22:57:43.000Z
Jess-You have me shaking in my boots... ; ) I just want to squeeze you!

## sunyata · 2008-09-05T22:57:51.000Z
Haha... Jess, I love the coloured tabs, too. It helps keep me organized! I mainly use Firefox, but I will use Safari from time to time if for some reason a website does not work on Firefox, or if I am using my iPod. I refuse to use anything Microsoft related.

## okiron · 2008-09-05T22:59:34.000Z
Woohoo the forum is pink! Muwahahaha I gots colored tabs!

## tobyshiba · 2008-09-05T23:09:14.000Z
hmm. xD I dunno, I'm just used to firefox. I've only had Safari for a month or so.

## asia · 2008-09-05T23:37:22.000Z
I use IE at work - it encounters problems constantly which cause it to close, it freezes frequently (I apparently ask it to think too fast), and it occasionally requires me to restart the computer. I hate it. At home I have switched to a Mac - too many PC failures - And I primarily use firefox, though occasionally i need to use safari for things. I like firefox better, though I have not noticed a speed difference. I use tabs with both.

Firefox & IE, though I mostly use Firefox, I find when I'm doing web design that IE picks up certain CSS codes better. :o I hate, hate, hate SAFARI! D< ~

## _dlroberts · 2008-09-06T14:04:36.000Z
Well, IMHO IE < Firefox 2.0 < Safari < Firefox 3.0. I was a Firefox user for a long time (actually, mozilla before it was called Firefox), but I got tired of the memory leaks so I switched to Safari a while ago. If you use Safari on a mac, it is really very nice. It integrates nicely with just about everything else on the mac. Here's the rub though (and this was a HUGE annoyance for me)...many of the most frequent keystrokes I use are a combination of 3 keys whereas in Firefox they were only 2. When Firefox 3.0 came out, I gave it a try and it seems to have fixed many of the memory leaks. So that's now my browser of choice. There is one feature of Safari that I REALLY miss though. If you are filling out a text entry field (e.g. the comment box on this forum) and you navigate away from the page, when you return using the back button your text entry is as you left it. Firefox erases it. :-(

## okiron · 2008-09-06T14:54:03.000Z
Ok, I did not like Safari at all. Though I'm not completely satisfied with Firefox, that's what I'm stuck with I guess.

## Sangmort (moderator) · 2008-09-07T00:38:20.000Z
That's funny Dave, I actually hated Firefox when it use to be Mozilla :p & that's weird about the text erasing thing...mine doesn't do that. Stupid Safari downloaded itself onto my older computer somehow with a quicktime update. Now it wont go away. ~
