Answer: bake treats for her dog. I bought an organic dog treat cookbook and today I tried my first recipe from it - Carob Chip Cookies since I've found that Tosca will follow me to the ends of the earth and do pretty much whatever I ask of her for a carob chip. The biscuits look and smell wonderful and I got 100 shiba-sized treats from one batch of dough that was super easy to make. I can't believe after three weeks with a shiba I'm now a crazy dog lady who makes homemade biscuits. ## ljowen123 (moderator) · 2008-11-17T19:08:31.000Z I know what you mean - I have a bunch of treat recipes as well. I have been a dog owner my entire life, and have drastically changed training and feeding techniques for the better since owning a shiba. She drives me insane every single day but I couldn't imagine my life without her. Only a devoted dog lover would stand over a 5 lb hunk of raw cow stomach in pouring rain, hacking at it and putting it into little baggies. Only a devoted dog lover would buy an organic dog treat book and slave away over the stove for her dog. There are also a few recipes for dogs with specific dietary needs beyond that.
