# Split Heat?

I wonder if any other female dog owners have gone through this? Or is it something I should be concerned about?? I called our vet this AM to ask about the female canine cycle because Hachi just started it up again, or so it seemed and they said it was most likely a split-heat, which happens either…

Loa's first heat was a split heat. It sucked. We thought it was done and then it came back, three weeks later! ----

So does it mean anything more an an interrupted cycle? I'm kinda bummed it came back.. we were all set to spay her in a few weeks!

It doesn't really mean anything, like you said its just an interrupted cycle - they are fairly common. It does mean she will be entering the stage where you will really need to watch your males [dog]. ----
