Thank goodness because this one lasted all of three minutes: One of the reasons that Ryu is the perfect Shiba - he is a major play monster but loves to kiss too!! Breaking in Chloe's new bed - with that big ole' belly, he sure did a good job! And for fun, this picture was taken last year on 11/24/07. What a difference one year makes!: And finally, the video! Ok, guys, this one is REALLY SUPER embarrassing and it's kind of our deep dark secret. Ryu begs. I mean BEGS. And we really tried to be consistent about teaching him not to beg. It's a work in progress. However, this night, I just couldn't resist getting his production on video. He does this practically every night. Though we don't usually let it get this bad. Keiko is HORRIBLE about begging for food. We've just decided it's easier to crate our dogs during our dinner time - plus we usually eat at the same time I feed them, so it works out really well. ## Ryu · 2008-11-28T12:48:11.000Z HAHAHA Jesse, Ryu is the laziest dog ever. We've tried everything to get him to go running with us. He'll go blazing fast for about 8 seconds and then stop dead in his tracks. Then he'll lay down and take about a 5 minute break before he'll walk again. LOL We always say he's a true Alvarado since we all love to sleep :) He's just naturally sleepy As for being thankful, we actually picked up Ryu on Black Friday last year so this time of year has an even more special meaning for us! Evan, are they crated in a separate room? Ryu's crate is in the living room and he can hear/smell us eating in the dining room. He'll usually cry until someone breaks down and lets him out. I suppose she is trying to hypnotize us into dropping our food on the floor. Yes, our shibas beg too. Its awful, but I can't help it! Tsuki is the silent begger but Kitsune howl/sing/aroos for food and gets really in-your-face on the couch. Its hilarious but I guess its bad manners if we have people over. Oh well, his house my rules I let him. So your secret is out - and shared! I love the Ryu spam - he looks like the best dog!!
