OK I have a question for anyone that might know about when dogs ears are supposed to go up. As you all know, I have a 4 month old Kai and one of his ears are up and the other one is down and it has been like that for a month or so, so I am starting to get worried. When I first got him I asked the breeder when his ears would go up and she said that they go up at different times so she wasnt specific. I talked with my vet and she said to give him knox packets and mix it in with his food and it will help harden the ear cartilidge. Anyone with a Kai or a differnt breed have problems with their ears going up, and if so when did they fully develop? The worst case scenero my vet said is that they can use a foam to put in his ear and it will adventually help the ear go up but I dont really want to try that if I should just wait longer. What do you think?

From my understanding it is pretty common for dogs ears to develop at a different rate like that.

We have a similar issue with Hilo, and I was told by my breeder that it could take up to 11 months for an Akita's ears to stand up. I would think a Kai's would be much shorter.
