Here's my three favourite doggy anime; Both of the Ginga series have all the Nihon Ken in them somewhere. ;) Ginga Nagareboshi Gin - Story of an Akita Inu named Gin Ginga Densetsu Weed - Story of an Akita/Kishu mix named Weed Massugu ni Ikou - Story of a mix breed dog that is in love with a Kishu Ken

This is an extract of "Wan-Wan" movie. A story with lot of dogs, a couple of Akita Inu is the hero of this old movie (by Osamu tezuka) I love the design, like disney movie :-)
