The first dogs are white and dark sesam. So we have lots of white, and biggest sesam and black and tan population than in Japan. Nevertheless, most of the recent japanese import are red. We will have 4000 m² in the middle of the country ! Their personality reminds me of some the bolder Shibas we have fostered. How much do your pups weigh and how big are they? (It's hard to tell from the pictures the size since looks can be deceiving on camera.) Keep the pictures coming.....love the dog spam! Thanks for sharing your pictures. : ) Snf ## Sarako · 2008-06-27T16:54:53.000Z Niki (red) isn't a pupy anymore... she is 2,5 years old, and weigh about 13 kg (without her fur... fur weight about 1 or 1.5 kg more) She is not very tall, and she is thin. Arashi (black) weigh 17kg (he is 8 months old), but I think he is a bit fat here... ## StaticNfuzz · 2008-06-27T20:17:30.000Z Ok Arashi is about 37 lbs and Niki is 26 lbs. That's a nice size without being too large. I was trying to tell my vet the Spitzies weigh more in full coat than after they have blown it. He does not believe me that the weight can flex up to 2 lbs given the coat. I am going to test this theory out via weighing once mine have fully blown out the coat. Snf ## tsukitsune (moderator) · 2008-06-27T21:31:26.000Z has your vet seen the amt of fur that comes off just a shiba when they blow coat? its enough to equal weight with a new pup on the scale! its insane! and we fostered a border collie spitz mix once who shed an entire shiba in the summer. I don't know what I would do without my deshedding blade and grooming tools!
