# Sick Puppy Diet?

As some of you may know, my 8 week old Shiba puppy Mika has coccidia and has been sick for the past 3 or 4 days. She actually hasn't eaten in 4 days as of tonight. I took her to the vet yesterday and started her on antibiotics and whatnot to get her better. She seems to be feeling better and holding down water better but she still won't eat her dog food. My question is this: Is there anything besides dog food I could give her that she might eat and that would be easy on her stomach so she could hold it down? She must be drained and hungry but I'm lost because she simply won't even smell of her food much less eat it. Please help me out as I desperately want her to start eating so I can have my good girl back. Thanks!

Have you tried boiled chicken and rice? I dont know if dogs have have those nutritional drinks for babies....

I've done the beef and rice before, but if you do that make sure there is as little fat as possible left.

When we have upset tummies in the house, we feed them boiled chicken and pumpkin. Works every time and they love it.
