Hey guys! Its around 3 oclock in the morning but I had to share this with you (couldnt sleep anymore cause of an sneezing-attack and my thoughts running circles how i will formulate this post :) Perhaps you remember that i told you that Sophie had some cleanliness problems in the beginning concerning our bed cause she always mistaked it with her bedroom :) Some months have passed, and nothing has happened so far cause Sophie had a strict ban entering the bedroom... For around one month now she's sneaking almost every morning in our bed and waking us up. It's really a funny and lovely thing to be waken up by face licking and a allbodywaggingdog trying to squeeze between you and the bed... I really love it and my boyfriend and me, we tolerated it for some minutes, and then i always stand up with her going for her morning walk. Tonight I waked up cause something was odd... Opening my eyes I felt my oldest cat curled up on my right side as usual, and on my left side there was another one curled up... wait.. none of my cats has such a hard coat I thought... little Sophie had sneaked in and slept peacefully beside me :) Knowing that if i tolerate it once, she will think its ok in the future I stand up and brought her sleeping blanket and placed it beside the bed and ordered her there... and guess after just 4 or 5 times putting her back on her blanket she accepted it and slept peacefully!!!(I calculated many sleepless hours until it works out:) I hope I wont have regrets about letting her in cause of another accident but I think it will work!! You perhaps wonder why i wont let Sophie sleep permanently in the bed, here some reasons :) My boyfriend has an allergy against cats(little) and dogs(bigger) and dust (heavy) - its not active at the moment, means he doesnt show any symptoms but i dont want to overdo it...cause my oldest cat sleeps now for 15 years with me, we tolerated the cats in the bed, I also need the feeling of a cat beside or onto me to sleep well :) Bringing Sophie into the flat we decided to make the bedroom into the cat-zone where they are totally safe, but during our morning wake-ups I saw the cats sleeping next to Sophie and she also tolerated that this is the peace zone where nobody is chased, so i think its ok for them... I hope it!!! Ok, that was the story :) I will try to go to bed again :) Good night you all! Baba Lisa

aw, little Sophie the sneak! My friend's Cairn Terrier has started doing this, she is supposed to stay in the kitchen during the day, but has learned to leap the little baby gate and has been sleepign on their bed during the day! They didn't know until one day it was raining, so the terrier didn't hear the garage door open and got caught on the bed! They let her stay, proving herself to be grown out of messes in the house now, though. :)
