you know what, ryu - we're actually considering fostering for the nycshibarescue so we can get a feel of how it might be with even MORE shibas!

I've heard so many great things about Shiba in pairs (Female/Male) that we are looking into the Midwest Shiba Rescue after we move to Missouri later this year! I would love to be a fly on your wall if you foster some more shibas - can you imagine all the mischief they could drum up?! So much fun

Actually, I'm trying to expand my knowledge and experience with the breed - and hopefully all Japanese spitz breeds - to someday begin my own "shiba sanctuary" - and since we have the male/female pair now, I'd be to hesitant to buy/adopt a Shiba while my home has harmony as it is.

We hope to begin fostering towards the end of summer once we are moved into our new home. Perhaps we'll blog-all about it!

Welcome Jennifer,

Gorgeous dogs! I love the sesame coloration.  Mine is red and I know if I ever get another in the future it will be sesame for sure.
