What does your dog go nuts over? (Good and bad)
I thought this would be an interesting topic and I am curious if my dogs are just weird so I wanted to see what made your dogs react LOL
I am just listing 2 of my Akitas for now- too much typing to list all the dogs
Kuma (AA):
Crazy excited reaction-
1. When I close the bedroom door with me inside it and her in the hall she paces and then when I come out she is so excited and acts as though I was gone for days!
2. Bowls- any kind or size. If she sees a bowl in your hand she goes nuts
3. A kitten- HOLY COW she goes wild
4. Car rides
5. Water holes- mud puddles, pond, pool, etc.
Things she does not like:
1. People approaching the car
2. door bell
3. Someone to yell at me
4. Untrained and/or off leash dogs
Zabu (AA):
Crazy excited:
1. Water bottles
2. Anything with stuffing (bears, pillows, dog beds)- He will shred them but he has so much fun doing it!
3. Food of any kind- if he sees food he gets so excited.... Although then he gets sad when he can't have our food!
4. Bones
Things he does not like:
He adjusts well to most all situations and the only thing that sets him on edge is the door bell.

1. Observing her kingdom from the back of the couch

4. Looking at strangers from our balcony
5. The huge dog bed in the living room

9. Figuring out new ways to escape the house

2. Her feet being touched

4. Me sitting next to my husband on the couch (he belongs to her!)

Shelby (Kai):

1. Tearing up her blanket
2. Carrying toys in her mouth
3. Pulling the stuffing out of said toys
4. Knocking over her still full food bowl and hiding the food under her blanket
5. Going to the vet
6. Being held
7. Waking up
8. Licking my hair
9. Chasing bugs outside
10. Carrying around my dirty laundry
Dislikes
1. The vacuum (she hides in the bathtub)
2. The broom
3. The sound of the toilet flushing
Sophie (chihuahua):
Likes

Kona (the Kai):
1. Me coming home from work
2. Toys that are made with rope and some sort of ball attached
3. Toys that look like animals (she LOVES ripping those apart!!

5. Playing with other dogs
6. Running so fast from being chased she falls on herself... -_-
7. Food (of any kind)
Dislikes:
1. Being left alone (whether I'm just on another room, or out for work).
2. The gremlin down the street >:(
3. Being groomed (she gets so depressed. Lol)
4. Being woken up. She can be such a bitch about it. Haha
Not sure about Kimber yet, we'll see...though I can tell you she's also a little piggy for food, and adores her big sister.

5. When he has his backpack on and he hears me unlock my door.
6. If I'm wearing cologne, he rubs himself on me trying to get some of the scent on him.

2. The doorbell.
3. Being stared at face to face except for me.
4. 99% of other dogs.
5. Drunk men.
6. Losing a street race.
7. Being talked to in a high pitched voice.
8. Seeing people hug (he thinks it's a fight).
1. Cats
2. Dogs
3. Packages that come, he thinks they all belong to him.
4. Finding 'treasures' in the recycle bin or around the house. He especially likes toilet paper rolls and small boxes that he can pack around.
5. Food. Anything. All food is the best ever.
6. Squeakers. Squeaky tennis balls especially. He also likes plastic bottles since they're so noisy on our tile floor.
7. Pinecones and rocks. He finds them on walks with grandma and packs them home. I roll my eyes and throw them away.
8. Beard licking. Actually, licking anything and everything.
He doesn't like:
1. The vacuum. He must chase it away with barks.
2. Thunder. He also must tell it to go away with barks.
3. Small children. He barks at them, though we're not sure if he's excited, frustrated, or scared of them.
4. Water. Puddles and sprinklers are especially terrible.
5. Being in the crate while people are eating. He thinks its mean and cruel and sings a sad song to tell us all about it.
6. Things "out of place".
7. Noises from outside that are 'threatening' including someone at the door, someone at our neighbor's door, etc.
8. Nail trims, having feet touched or mouth opened. He hates being examined, but ironically loves to be held and hugged.
Goes crazy for:
1. Food especially meaty bones
2. Soft toys with squeakers, the louder the better
3. When I get home from work or even just leave the room for a few mins and come back. I am promptly greeted with a wagging tail and a toy in her mouth!
4. Plastic bottles, tearing junk mail and attempting to destroy the muddy paws matt and carrying it around the house
5. Digging up the gravel in the garden just after I've swept and chasing the broom!
6. Playing chase in the garden and fetch
7. Face licking! major tail wags going on when she licks your face!
8. Kids, my father in law and basically anyone who greets, her she just loves the attention & any dog's. she loves to play!
9. Having her teeth brushed, but I think its the toothpaste she loves
Dislikes:
1. The vacuum
2. Red fire extinguishers mounted on walls
3. The tape they use in the ring craft class to hold the matts down although she's getting over that now lol
4. Being brushed if she doesn't have treats to keep her busy
5. Going to bed when she just wants to be allowed to sleep in the living room and secretly destroy my furniture while I sleep!
She's a crazy pup lol!
Edit to add: Belly rubs!! she loves them shes anyones for a belly rub!
