Birth 12/25/2013. these are my christmas pups from first litter.
I had hard time with this litter. Luckly Claire was helping me alot. she came over at midnight stayed till next morning and gave me tones of advise.
I probably lost all pups if she wasn't there. I'm glad I had her on my side.
karin gave birth to 1st pup at 11:45pm 12/24. and next one didn't come out till 3am. so we rushed to ER and gave her Oxytosin to get more contraction. and luckly we didn't do C-Sec and gave natural birth to all pups till 10AM.
Total 8 pups, 1 dead before born, 1 died after 2 days.
but I do have healthy 6 pups.

I call this one monster pup. biggest pup from litter and she is female.

named them already. not decided about which name for each pup. I'm waiting till Claire to choose great pup from this litter and have her pick the best female name she wants. and i can decide.

Seiryuu - Azure Dragon, constellation of east/spring
Byakko - White Tiger, constellation of west/autumn
Genbu - Black Tortoise, constellation of north/winter
Suzako - Vermillion Bird (Phoenix), constellation of south/summer
Kirin - Unicorn, former constellation replaced by Byakko
Otsurusama - Honorable Lord Crane, grants longevity and accompanies the god of luck
Orochi - Eight Headed Snake (Hydra), king of serpents with elemental powers for each of its heads

Congrats on all the pretty brindles!! They look wonderful! Such little potatoes now, but they will grow into regal akitas! Congratulations again!

Im sorry about the two lost pups. It happens, but it still feels heartbreaking.

Love the names. I know many of them from an anime I liked growing up. Too bad were moving in April, cause my husband and I are thinking of making an Akita the next pup we bring home (although I was kinda hoping for a second Kai)

@not4dagames i did see orochi and thought naruto but i was actually talking about yu yu hakusho. Seiryuu, Byakko, Genbu were 3 of the 4 saint beasts and the forth was Suzaku (like Suzako)
