Our Shikoku Girl is home!
Everything happened very fast but we were able to take in Mika on Wednesday. After making trips to visit the breed we decided that we would pursue getting a Shikoku puppy of our own. Then, as chance would have it, a beautiful girl became available and we went to visit her as soon as we could 
My finnish lapphund, Kyra, was a little nervous around Mika but they attempted to play and over all the introductions went well. Now Mika is here and we couldn't be happier! The girls are able to be near each other (while supervised) without issue so I figure we are off to a good start
Any advice, tips, or similar experiences of taking in another dog would be appreciated!

Feels like our family is now complete!
The girls are still figuring each other out but the tension has disappeared and my lapphund is starting to be more confident around Mika. At the very least they tolerate each other ^-^
Mika is 1.5 years old
Mika looks big in pictures but she is actually really small for her breed. Kyra is the same size as her and Kyra is relatively tiny. These pictures should help show her true height. Thanks for the compliments though! I agree that she is one of the better looking females but then again, she is my baby :P
Mika originally came from Peggy and then lived in SoCal with her family until they needed to give her up. Corina took her in for a short while and I picked Mika up from her place. It was a sad situation but we are happy to have been able to help
Mika went to the expo so some might have met her there
I am glad you were able to give her a home.
