    Hilo looks UBER-happy :-)

I love little Kaia - I'm going to steal her when you're not looking... that is, if I can find your house out there in the middle of the desert.... :D

Well I would never want someone to steal my Kaia, but if it was you at least I know she would be well cared for, I have seen the pics of how spoiled Ryu is.  :c)

You'd have to get through Hilo first tho... I mean look at those pics, he is a very alert watchdog! lol!

    ----

Hilo is so funny, he will not come inside anymore. He comes up to the door and gives us a "Woo Woo" then runs back out and plops down in the dirt. He's freaking loving it!

LOL! Hilo is so cute!!! I love how he just passes out anywhere in the yard!  Im glad he's loving it!

Kudo's to Kaia and her very rare brindle markings ;P

Hehe. I was thinking the same thing about Hilo being sprawled out all over the place. I love Hilo!!!!

Also, with regards to stealing Kaia, Hilo isn't just a good watch dog, he's in love with Kaia so you'd have double trouble on that front. :-)

    Thanks for the spam Brad!

Those guys are really loving their newly found freedom, huh? They look very happy! Kona's brindle(ing) has gone up a notch too!

Was Hilo carrying around that piece of wood as a toy?

    They all look very happy.

Paranoid me is wondering what happens if they manage to get out.  They don't have collars or tags on.

I have fallen in love with Hilo, absolutely in love.

    I want Kaia AND Hilo!
In an alternate universe where it would be no work whatsoever to integrate them into my pack.
    HA

The collar thing is an ongoing struggle here in the Anderson pack... Just last night (before this post) Jen and I were talking about if we should put them back on the pups.

You see we took them off out of fear of them choking, Loa was out there and got hers hung on some sagebrush... it yanked her pretty harshly... it freaks us out, so we took them off.

So we are still working that out... I'm not sure we will put collars on them, there is just to much they can get hung on. I think that's far more likely than them getting out.

    But who knows.

I know they make break-away collars, but those would mos def fall off if they got out, so it defeats the purpose completely.

Brad correct me if I am wrong but your pups are also microchipped right?

Pam: Their house would be easy to find. Just look for the perpetual sand storm!!!

Jessica: We'll have to do a timeshare on Hilo. Pam won't have a problem taking Kaia if we have him!!!

Exhausted from all the play!  Great photos.  Starting to get HOT LANTA so we're probably gonna see some slower paced Shibas.  They don't take heat very well, at least I was told, but I have that feeling I was not misled.  Jake doesn't seem to shed, not in clumps, just a hair here and there.  He wishes he lived up north.  After the hot, humid days of summer, I may wish I did too.
