I'll take Jazz pictures, and Miso and Sake pictures too. I'll likely be doing a drive by photo shoot of Ryu and Roxy on my way too or from Tulsa in June.
If you look back in this thread you will find pictures of a bunch of Shorthaired German Pointers, puppies and a Mom. Mom is back. She's still as sweet as ever, but apparently did not get along with their other animals:
This guys is back. He was at the shelter late last summer or early fall. A Cattle dog mix that is just a ball of energy. I read the return report and apparently he kept knocking his owner over and dragging her down. Something tells me they should be doing a better job of screening who wants what dog. A dog like this, if you spend five minutes with it, you would realize needs to go to someone who is active and in good shape, or has a few sheep for him to move around out on the farm.
This Duke the Dobie. I loved Duke, he went to rescue, which is great, he needed out of the shelter. When he was there he pulled down a couple of women who were trying to get him out for a walk, he's easily excitable and much stronger than he looks. Once he gets outside and runs a bit he calms down pretty well. Very eager to please and learn. He is going to make a great dog for someone:

This guy is a pit/lab mix. Very sweet in all ways. Seems to love everything. He has one cropped ear (not done by a vet). Seems that whomever decided to try and crop his ears lost their nerve after their dog surely shrieked and screamed and cried in pain and horror as they cut it's ear off. I guess he was very sweet unless you try to stick a big fake hand in his face while he is eating, and that was enough to do him in. Ugh. RIP - 05-26-2009.
Bonded pair:
This guy is named Bozley. Hasn't been trained on anything, he's a tank though. Other dogs get him fired up a bit to easily. Loves to jump for toys, he can jump about 7 feet high to grab toys, and when he does a running leap easily flies about 15 feet. Not a fan of stopping for picture time.
RIP 06-09-2009
That guy has double dew claws in the rear:
These two were freaking nuts. They got adopted in a day though. Someone was apparently looking for sweet labs who constantly jump on you and slobber.
Brandon, I can't express enough how much I love your photographs. They are absolutely stunning. A photo can go a long way in someone's heart who's looking to adopt. The shelter is blessed to have you as a resource.
This poor little girl was found filthy, in a dumpster. Yes found in a DUMPSTER. Obviously she is a bit shy at first, but she warms up really quickly and then wants to play. She has a huge heart.
King

These two were surrendered. Their names are Oreo and Cookie. Good god, Oreo and Cookie.
Oreo:
Cookie (who is very shy and looks her sister for protection)
The first girl has an awesome face! What waste of carbon that put her (or any dog) in a dumpster! King looks like he's going to trip over his tongue at any moment.
We have two dogs with really sad stories right now at the shelter. I don't have pictures of them but thought I would share.
The first one is a Great Pyreness mix. He was in an RV with his family when he jumped into the drivers lap, obviously he should of been kenneled or buckled in. The driver swerved into the other lane crashing into an SUV killing the two passengers of that vehicle. The owners of the dog are still in the hospital with serious injuries, but strangely enough the dog got away with minor injuries. He has a cut/wound/bruising area right above his tail and he is very tender there, other than that he is getting around fine and is very happy to meet new people. No one knows exactly what will happen with him. So far no other family members have stepped up to take him in until they are out of the hospital and it is unknown if or when the owners would ever be able to take care of a dog again. Such a tragic accident that could have easily been avoided.
There is also a three month old German Shepard puppy that we have right now whose owner sliced it's throat for barking. Obviously this woman is a psychopath. In an odd twist the woman then cleaned the wound with iodine and tried to glue it shut. How this puppy survived is a mystery. They call it a stabbing in the article but the dog wasn't stabbed, it was sliced, the wound is long and gruesome. Somehow this puppy is still really friendly, but it is in protective custody so I did not get to spend any direct time with it, just fed it a few treats through the kennel bars. I really hope this woman doesn't have a shot at getting the dog back, and I hope she gets the mental help she needs, preferably while in prison. Just an awful thing.
Well the dog that caused the car accident is now adoptable, so I guess no one from the family wanted him. Hopefully he gets adopted quickly. The German Shepard is still under "Protective Custody" not sure when that will be done.
Some current dogs:

This Husky mix is highly stressed when indoors. Very uneasy, but gets happy when he sees the leash. Outside he is pretty good, loves other dogs. The person who found him and turned him in paid all of his fees and wants him if no one claims him. I hope he can get him, as this boy will never pass a temperament test.
These two GSD's were brought in because their owner is unhealthy and could no longer take care of them. Very sweet, but also very shy at this time:
Puppy Husky had serious zoomies going on, and was the softest dog ever:
Phyllis the Chi:
This dog is huge:
This guy is from the seizure awhile back. He has gained some weight and grown a lot of fur back, he didn't have hardly any at all before. Rufus the St. Bernard (above) is from the dog seizure too, and is also vastly improving. We are naming this guy Humphrey because he always tries to hump. Possibly the ugliest dog I've ever seen, he's so cute:
This guy was found in a storage shed with a logging chain locked around his neck, left to die. Luckily someone heard him, we have had him almost two months and is now officially property of the shelter and will be adoptable soon, I hope:
The next three are also Thyme and Sage seizure dogs:
Oh, I don't know if there is a real line, I was just saying I'd take her too. I hope she finds a great forever home too. She's doing really well at the shelter, which is great.

Frankie. This guy could be used to pull a wagon. I guess he was here last September too.
Some sort of bulldog mix with longish hair. Cute dog:

Question.......In your May 28th post.......You posted pics of Ash, who was claimed by his owner. What breed is that?
