Dailypuppy.com
My friend sends me this website a week or so ago that featured a Shiba. Had some kill time today so visited the site and clicked on the tab that read 'puppies for sale' and of course had to look for Shibas.
It literally made me sick. I couldn't believe what was being advertised and how I could visualize some of the puppies being treated -- not to mention the adults for sale that persons are tired of and wanting to get rid of. It is more than my heart can take so I just can't look.
I give to the humane society, help financially with fosters, don't visit pet stores, but the fraud continues. I'm just not big enough to help all in need and to stop all the abuse. All I can do is provide the best for the one dog I have knowing he's with me til the end.

and those websites & petstores that promote the sale of puppies are killing the integrity of what a healthy, lifelong pet should be..
And Rina is right! Just little by little, educating people is the only thing that will save tomorrow's money making animals.. one person at a time.. if you can convince just ONE person to not shop at a dog selling pet store or those website puppy shipping machines or volunteer at a shelter.. just ONE person - thats all the difference in the world.
This is my favorite quote when I just feel like I'm not doing enough or not getting anywhere:
