Oahu Shiba Inu Meetup (New Pics - 7/20/08)
So, I started a Shiba meetup here in Hawaii and we had our first official meet-up this morning! We had 4 Shibas total but we're hoping for more next month! Here are the pics:
The infamous Ryu (he made a new friend)
Pili (the black and tan) and Aya (Ayako) : both almost 5 months old!
Introducing Tonka! (he's 5 yrs old)
Pili, Ryu and Aya make a friend!
Three little rascals:
Feisty Aya playing "keep away" (and it's not even her ball!)
Aya and Pili trying to get Tonka to play:
Notice Aya's neck in Pili's mouth:
Ryu, Pili and Tonka:
The pretty girl, Aya:
Ryu admiring Aya:
The love triangle:
Ryu trying to win Aya back from Pili:
Tonka could play ball ALL day:
Boys will be boys:
Videos to come soon!

That is really awesome that you started a meet up group! Good for you~! Looks like everyone had fun and really got along well.
And boy does Ryu change in this group! Usually he is pretty domineering and "in your face" but guess who was the boss out of the four? Little AYA! It's amazing that the smallest of the four and the only girl is the boss! :-) I love her little face! It was pretty funny watching her and Pili play - I never thought I'd miss 4 month old Shiba play but I do!
Also, Tonka is a former show dog from Oregon/Washington area - I got so giddy seeing a fluffy Shiba lol
Jen: aren't their lazy sits the best?! I crack up every time he does it :-)
Dave: Ryu DOES have some competition huh?! haha He's such a ham - he's going to have to step up his game
Brad and Romi: You just brought back elementary school's relentless "SPAM" nicknames. Thanks. LOL j/k :-)
Wait until Ryu gets a sister!! You'll see!
They're very cute together!
i don't think a lot of you have met pam, but she's the best. organized the group, getting the word out, had treats for all of the dogs and organizing our next meet up. pam - thanks for doing this for all of us on oahu.
I'm glad Aya liked the harness (for now ;-D) - can't wait for the hike this wknd!
Looks like they all had fun and got along BEAUITIFULLY!!
Koda, Hiro and Sachi (Sachi is Ayako's sister!)
Ryu chasing Hiro
Hiro and Mochi & Pili and Sachi
Playing musical chairs
Ryu and Mochi:
Sachi chewing on Ryu - look at his face! lol
best buds - Ryu and Pili
Beautiful Koda
Attempt at a group photo (Can you believe the Shibas are facing the camera but the humans AREN'T??!?!?! lol)
Such rude Shibas on the table!
Mochi's cinnamon bun tail :-)
Inuki:
My favorite picture - Aya and Pili playing:
Koda winking with both eyes :-)

The dogs look like they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and can't wait until the next meet.
great shots!
I was impressed by all the dogs, but I thought Inuki really stood out, she was a beautiful dog and very shy. I also liked Hiro’s attitude, he was probably the most outgoing and was also fairly friendly with people. Thanks again to Pam and Tim for organizing the event, we’re looking forward to the next one.
I hate that I'm leaving next month! So I scheduled three meetups LOL
