ATL Meetups - Updated with Aug pics

We just had our July meetup for the Atlanta Shiba group. We were inside at Best Friend's Dog Care, which was great since it was so hot - it got up to 94 degrees today. We had 21 people, I think, and a total of 18 dogs, 14 of which were shibas. My niece took a fair amount of photos until she got sleepy. I figured I'd just post them in a slideshow.

    It was a lot of fun! Several of our usual members (read DAVE here) were out of town or we would have easily had 20 shibas there. Since it is so hot and muggy in August as well, we'll be inside then, too. We had relatively little snarkiness overall. We were laughing at one shiba - Sadie, who played "tattletale" on two other shibas. Everytime that they would get close and begin rough-housing, Sadie would give an alarm shriek. It was very funny. I'll try and upload some of the video tonight.

    Looks like a lot of fun LJ! Sucks I had to miss it. Did any of the drama cause an issue?

    Not at all!! I was pleased about that. Everyone just seemed happy about the group being together. I was concerned about the other drama as well, but there no show there, because of not having joined the new group.

    We may have it at the same location in August because the place at Piedmont (Hip Bone Boutique) closed.

    Great to hear! As of now, I'm supposed to be in town all of August so there's a good chance I'll be there. :-)

    Wow, Sasha did great! I'm impressed with her distance from them. :-)

    How is Joji doing? Is she any more social? Poor girl was so messed up. :-(

    I can't believe I had to miss another meetup. :-/

    I was able to pet Joji and hold her. She's definitely doing much better.

    I know - and I have your nylabone goodie bag. They sent stuff for you and me, basically four of each item they sent - I split it amongst Amber, Rachael, you, and I - each share retails at about $75

    Thanks for the nylabone goodies. I bet that'll last a LONG time. :-) I'll have to make sure I get to the next meetup or plan a visit so I can get them from you. :-)

    It really is - I kept wanting to type Lucy's name instead.

    It should - the only thing I wasn't sure about was the nutri-dents. Can Joey have those? The next meetup in in Kennesaw or if it's easier we can plan a visit.

    My girls are SO Happy with their goodies. Already been a feel growls and steals. They LOVE the chocolate and dinosaur.
    Anything your kids dont want pass it on!!

    Sasha did do really good, she stayed there until we released her.
    Niko was crazy like usual.
    Joji did so good, came in with the tail up and all!

    LJ: Do you mean Lucy? I don't think Joey would have a problem. He's got a full set of adult teeth now.

    Pububuu is hilarious. He is really small for a male. And his parent's are a cute, shy, little Japanese couple. I can never remember his name nor pronounce it right so I just think "peanut butter butt" (got that from Taki).

    Either way, peanut butter butt is TINY. And yes, I think vixen is a girl's name too.
