Koji Update

edited August 2008 in General
Well, I guess the Canadian couple didn't work out. BUT, there is a couple in MA that will be picking him up after her gets neutered on Thursday. Here's the email from the foster...

Koji's checkup went well. He took his shots like a little champ in between licking the vet. :o) She also gave his eyes a good exam to make sure he didn't have any apparent problems with his retinas, since his brother was blind and they checked out fine.

He adores my big male Beau, so they are best buddies and hang out all of the time. Koji sleeps in his crate at night and has a dry crate in the morning and is doing well with his housebreaking.

He is scheduled to be neutered next Thursday, so I will be sure to let you know how he makes out with his surgery.

There is a couple in MA, that is interested in adopting him. They have a very friendly female Akita, so hopefully they will be able to get down to adopt him shortly after his surgery, so he can start his new life. :o)

Thank you again for rescuing him and again I will let you know how he makes out with surgery and keep you posted about his new home.

He does look really happy! Nice job Barbara, you guys did a great thing.

I hadn't noticed the mark on his tongue before. I wonder if he's mixed with something?

That's what we all were thinking. But he really looks all Akita.
It would be AWESOME if he ended up your neighbor.

Wow, he's getting big and beautiful!
My opinion is still the same: If only there wasn't an ocean in between... If he's that sweet as to kiss the vet between shots, he sounds like Kuma. I'd like to watch these two play.

Jessica, I'll ask where in MA Koji will be when I speak to Carla about Koji's neutering on Thursday.

Rui, Koji is sooooo sweet. The funniest thing I never got on camera? Whenever Keigo yawned, Koji would stick his head into Keigo's mouth. Somehow, Koji always managed to move before Keigo's mouth closed, but he did it often. Also, Koji cleaned Mika's ear constantly, which she loves And he's ambidextruous! He'll give me his left or right paw (switching back and forth - we once did this for about 10 minutes) and he's ticklish on both sides of his belly. Koji is just a really a sweet, sweet puppy.

Yeah, he is really getting big!!! I'll see if Carla has any pictures she can send.

Unfortunately, that couple decided against adopting Koji. So, he's still with his foster in PA.
    He's getting so big!!!!!

The right home will come along. It looks like he's got a nice spot with his foster family. He is looking very German Sheppardy (that's not a word).

How could someone not want him? He is entering that awkward gangly phase. Cute monkey. How much does he weigh now?

Hahaha. Look at those gigantic paws! On some level I'm glad that couple decided against it. He deserves someone that will commit to him completely. Cute little bugger. :-)

Poor guy, already being tossed around. I'm with Dave, he does deserve someone that's serious about him.
