Our first hike!!!!
So, after buying the book, I just HAD to take a hike with Keiko to test out the information. We picked a hike that was only 1 mile in each direction (combined distance is .5miles less than our normal walks). It was a little scarier than I had anticipated for an "easy" ranked hike. There were lots of un-fenced cliffsides and narrow trails at between 50-200 feet. Here's some spam (sorry if some pics are blurry)
Mt. Hood on the way to the hike
Keiko and Belle getting ready for our first adventure!
River at the base of the falls
Keiko being impatient with me because I kept stopping to take pictures - luckily I got ONE (just one!) adorable one of her
Mini-falls we got to be RIGHT next to on a wood bridge
Keiko and I on the bridge next to the mini-falls (this is her favorite way to 'walk'... other than being on the ground)
First view of Wahclella Falls - as you round the corner a HUGE blast of cold air hits you and turns into a nice breeze
Another pic of Wahclella Falls
James, Keiko and Belle perched on a rock near the falls - I was REALLY nervous taking this picture because they were all on the edge... I'm a scardy cat when it comes to heights
Keiko in the water - she would only go in for a second and only wanted 2 paws touching it at a time... hilarious watching her try and balance on 2 paws!
Keiko on the journey home - PRICELESS!!!! :oD
I'm not an ourdoorsy person, by any means. I attribute this new 'want' to hike to Keiko and the GORGEOUS Pacific Northwest (just moved here 2 months ago).
Hopefully you all enjoy!!! )

Here's another one that's really blurry, but a better closeup of Keiko and I
lol You guys make a good pair, now we just need one with you two, James & Belle & we can have a family portrait !~
I'm such a photo fiend now that we have the new camera hehe... I take it everywhere (yes even to the grocery store)!
You should make a new thread "Evan's Photographic Madness" & post nothing but pictures ~
And I am so jealous of your waterfalls!
We dont have a family photo either... : (
Sasha hates camera's so it is rare getting a good pic.
How GORGEOUS is that scenery!! Im not an outdoors person at all but I would love to be on that hike.
Niko is petrified of heights and wouldnt go anywhere near that edge, she doesnt even like water drains, bridges or being on the cat scratching post. Not very shiba of her.
Cant wait for more pics!
Thanks for the photos
