My mom is wanting to rescue another dog! Im so excited and I knew this was coming. She told me this morning she was going on petfinder...you cant go on there and NOT want one.
Best of all she wants a PIT! Or pit mix.
They have a ton of land in Wisconsin, but a small house so they are wanting a smaller size dog. The dog they have right now is an English Lab (with a docked tail????). I found that one and now she wants my help finding a pit.
Any ideas from the midwest? She is about 3 hours from the twin cities and will travel.

She found an akita pit mix and fell in love but too big.

She knows how great it is with 2 and her current dog could use a friend to teach her how to play and be a dog.

Fantastic news!!!! Go Mom! Not all pit's are big, though some can be quite big, but not all of them. Is Dane County (Is that right, Brandon) close to her? If so, she can meet up with Brandon. I'm sure one of the pit's at his shelter would work for her. Alternatively, is there could be a pit rescue in her area.

Another possibility is getting an older dog, regardless of size. Don't know if that is an option, but it would be so great of her. I feel for the older dogs the most. *sniff*

She wants an older dog, 3 and older.
She is taking her time and is going all over the board on what kind she wants. She doesnt care the sex or the breed THAT much as long as it fits.
