I feel bad now...

edited September 2008 in General
I have had a very stressful few weeks at work with deadlines and a couple of big decisions to make. Plus, Lucy's rehab has been taking up a lot of extra time. Add those things up with a few other things and I've been totally exhausted the last few weeks.

I decided I would not set an alarm last night and just let Lucy and Joey wake me up when they were ready. Well, they didn't make a peep! I finally rolled over to check the time at 3:15 this afternoon and they were sitting patiently in their crates. I feel really bad now. I guess they knew how much I needed the sleep.

I love my dogs. :-)

Awww...My girls did the same thing this morning. I didnt sleep well and of course had to wake up every hour to pee. Everytime I got up they thought they were getting up and would come and lick me when I laid back down but went back to sleep. They know when to take care of you!
What time did you go to sleep?

What good dogs you have - as we've said before - they often now when we need to recharge...way before we do.

    That's cool of them.
Around here it's no truce EVER! I suspect Nyx has more to do with that than Kuma does.
I started closing the baby gate on the bedroom door one day out of each weekend and separating them. Even so today we just slept until 9:30. Still, it beats 7 or earlier...

How thoughtful! Honestly, I think shibas have super bladder-holding capacities. There was once where I thought Noah had taken Tojo out and he thought I had... it was more than 24 hours since he'd been out to pee and he never made a sound. Then when he finally did go out, he peed for a full minute and a half. Crazy. I felt REALLY bad about that. At least you weren't that bad!

It is nice to have dogs taking care of you like that!

Moto is not nearly as polite he will walk up and bark at you if he has to pee. Miko wakes up at 5:30 every morning. Which is fine when we go running. We go at 4:30 but days when we don't it blows.

Keigo will wake us up if we oversleep. However, I find that as I get older, I'm am less capable of sleeping for long periods of time. I get 6 hours of sleep max, so I usually wake everyone up when I get up.

Very nice of your dogs. Nemo will start to make noise at 6:00 am if I am not up. Even if I put him to bed at 1:00 am, because he is used to getting up at 5:00.

However Homer the cat starts banging on things at 4:45. He's an ass.

Niko has gone over 24 hours before. She had many opportunities BUT she just refused because of rain. Niko hasnt woken us up since she was home for the first 2 days, maybe only once in the middle of the night cause she drank too much.
    Im so spoiled!

When we first got Moto, he would not poop outside if it was raining. In fact if we forgot to close the guest room door, he would sneak in there poop on the bed and THEN scratch at the door. We have since replaced the bed, and trained him past that, but those first few months SUCKED.

Tojo used to use Hester's litter box if we weren't home. It was nice of him to choose the litter box, but he usually missed.

Ohh no, Sol isnt that kind to me, Since I am usually up around 4am everyday and take them for a run at 6am, some morning I do like to sleep in but if I'm not out of bed by 4:30am Sol pulls my blanket off and starts digging a hole in my arm.....

Rina. By the time I am a grandma, I'll probably only get an hour of sleep a night!!!!
