No Power In Ohio

edited September 2008 in General
blacklash of Hurricane Ike made it all the way to my state, Ohio. Winds up to 80mph took out tons of trees in my city (Columbus) houses and cars were smashed. I wouldn't let my dog outside. I've been without power since yesterday afternoon and it could be a week until i get it back. It is like this scattered all over Ohio. I can only imagine how bad it was for Texas

Wow, really ... made it all the way to Ohio? We got a bit of rain here in PA on the weekend, but it wasn't like terrible. D:
    Glad to hear you're okay!

Glad you are ok. I know some people around where Peggy lives lost their power for like 16 hours. Crazy!

I live in a small town in Central Ohio and MAN did we get hit! I dont know how but our power Never went out. (Thank the Lord) There were MANY large trees down through out our neighborhood but it doesn't look like any serious damage in my neighborhood.

Here are a few pics I took walking around.

Wow - that sucks! We got a lot of rain in Kansas, but nothing else. I'm in Chicago right now though, and they have some road closings due to the flooding. It's crazy. Haven't seen anything like those pics in either place however...

We got some showers here in Florida [ the very outer bands when it was still down here ] but that was pretty much it.

Everyone at work was hoping it would go at us so they could take mini-vacations :o ~

The thing that blew me away (pun intended) was that there was NO RAIN. Not a drop! Just this hurricane force wind. My family was actually out flying kites in it when it first started....but then it got serious and we booked our butts home. I've never been through anything like this. It really did feel like a Tornado came through our little town.
