Orijen 6 Fish with Sea Vegetables

edited September 2008 in General
I just wanted to check with you all and see if Orijen 6 Fish with Sea Vegetables would be alright for Mika to eat even though she is just 9 weeks old? She just started getting her appetite back and I figured now would be a good time to start transitioning her off of Eukanuba. So, should I get Orijen Puppy Food or do you think the Orijen 6 will work? I've heard such great things about it and it sounds yummy from a dog's perspective, haha. Thanks in advance for the info!

It says on their website that it is good for dogs of any age and size, however it might not hurt to send them an e-mail directly to see what they think. If you don't go with the 6 Fish, their Puppy food is still of high quality and would be a vast improvement over Eukanuba.

I second what Brandon said. I have Joey on an "all life stages" food, so I don't have a problem with it. Their puppy food is really good though, so I don't think you can go wrong.

When I still fed my dogs dog food, we gave Miko the puppy formula and Piglet and Moto the 6 fish. As far as dry food goes, you would be hard pressed to find a brand better than Orijen.

LOVE Orijen! Didnt use it when they were pups, but we get fish every other bag. Orijen is amazing but when you use the fish...even MORE amazing!

Akira did not do well on the puppy formula because of chicken and we switched him to Orijen Fish when he was about 4 months old. In my humble opinion there's not much difference between the puppy and adult formulas, you just have to feed more adult formulas to puppies. Akira loves it so much that he licks every new bag before we can even open it and doesn't get tired of it.

Just to warn you, the transition between Eukanuba and Orijen may take weeks or even a month because the kibbles are very different. You can buy pro-biotics or Eagle Pack Hollistic enzymes powder to ease up the transition =)
