A pretty cool story
Dog travels 45 miles to get back home!
Oct. 6) - After another vehicle hit his convertible, Bill Clark lost his dog: Max jumped out the back and took off into nearby woods in New England.
Clark searched for his 2-year-old Airedale terrier for three weeks and three days. On Tuesday, he came home to find Max sitting in his backyard, according to WJAR, a television station in Providence, R.I.
"He's had a long trip home," Clark said. Max had traveled 45 miles from the scene of the accident in Sterling, Conn., to his home in Coventry, R.I. "I couldn't believe that he came home, all that way."
Clark isn't sure how Max found his way back, but he had put out some of his own clothes and the dog's favorite food along the highway close to his home to try to help him find his way.
Max was not injured during his trek home, but lost 11 pounds. His owner lost seven pounds.
