Back Packs?

Where would I find one? And what brands/sizes do you recommend? Any tips?

We want to plan some hiking trips with Mylie this fall and think she'd really enjoy wearing a pack, since she seems to enjoy carrying sticks.

Thanks! thanks! thankssss! =D

I think Brad would probably be the best person for this thread. :)

Steph (tobyshiba) uses The Approach Pack on her shiba, I have it on my wishlist, too :)
And I know another Shiba named Emi who uses the Palisades pack.
(*or at least I think its the Palisades, its red and its a ruffwear pack!)

I have written 2 "product reviews" on dog packs:

    Wenaha Dog Pack: "Explorer III"

    WOLF PACKS: Banzai™ Dog Pack

Other than those two packs, the only other pack I would recommend is the Ruff Wear "Palisades Pack™" but, IMO, the Ruff Wear packs do not fit very well.

Unfortunately the ruffwear Palisades pack doesn't come Shiba sized. Joey, who is a frickin tank at 26.5 pounds needs an XS and the Palisades stops at S. Lucy wears an XXS. I bought her the Approach pack but due to her knee surgery we haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. Joey will get a pack once he's a little older. The Approach pack is only about $60, so that's something to consider. It may not be a bad idea to buy a cheaper pack first to see how Mylie takes to wearing it before you invest in one of the real-deal packs that Brad reviewed.

I think Ruffwear is a little generous in their sizing, although i like the packs, and for all the products I have bought for camping and severe weather (cloudchaser-useless for a shiba, life vest, boots, and approach pack) I had to get the smallest size for my 24 lb girl. I don't like the Kelty Chuckwagon as the straps slide loose.
