This weekend, I plan to....

edited October 2008 in General
I'm sitting at work today, bored out of my mind. My job has times when it is very slow and this is one of those times. So, I got to planning my weekend and thought I'd see what everybody is up to this weekend.

Here's what I'm doing:
Saturday: Mission Project at church (7:30a), Recycling (11:00a), Taking Jazz to get her nails ground (12:00p), Watching UGA game (12:30p-4:00p), Go buy groceries (5:00p-ish)

Sunday: Church (9:00a-10:00a), travel downtown (10:30-11:30), meet with some of the meetup folks for lunch at Park Tavern & then go to meetup at Piedmont Park (12:00p-3:30p), meetup with some old college buddies (3:30p-5:00p) and then head back home.

So, what are you doing this weekend?

Saturday - Getting up earlier than usual, at around 6am and go to Arraiolos (135Km away) to harvest some olives form a few olive trees my parents have.

Sunday - recover from Saturday :-P

And I got the day off today and Monday, so I'll be doing a lot of recovering...

Sounds like fun Rui. Is the monster coming with you?

My weekend is still a bit up in the air. Tonight is a work night. But tomorrow will be a bit more relaxed. I'll probably take the afternoon off and head to the shelter. In the evening, I'll watch the GT game that I recorded during the day.

Sunday will be the meetup that LJ is going to and hopefully watching the Giants game if I can get it recorded.

The rest of the time will be divided between work and sleep.

    Weekend started today.
We went and picked raspberries, apples, pumpkins. We pet goats and chickens. It was so much fun. We are going to go walk the dogs and then meet up with 2 other couples and catch Burn After Reading at the movie theater with couches and espresso.

Tomorrow I will do the news, go to the shelter, then come home and roast pumpkins for for pie baking. I am having a couple friends over to watch movies and make popcorn.

Sunday, I am baking an Apple/Raspberry pie and a Pumpkin pie and carving pumpkins and roasting pumpkin seeds.

One of the monsters will definitely come along, the other one hates even being in the car so she's staying at home. And it's only a day trip, so no point on taking her from her routine.

My weekend started today as well

Today: When to the mall for me and Petco to figure out what else I may need when Tosca gets here. Pricing stuff ect...

Tomorrow: Clean my house and maybe go for coffee. Around 4:30pm, catch a train to New York City. take my good, sweet time getting to the theatre - maybe grab dinner. 7:30pm La Traviata opens and I'm singing 'till about 10:30-ish when, barring an invite for drinks and such, I will go back to the train station, catch a train home and sleep until...

Sunday: Catch the 11am train for the 2pm show which will get out at at about 5pm putting my in my sweat pants on my couch at about 7:30pm.

I'm sort of jealous of you, MommyofNiko.

Today: Met with another shiba at Montsouris park :)

Tomorrow: Buy some geography and history books at the used books fair, go yell in a store to get the delivery (finally?) of my washer/dryer, buy a printer and a desk than go to theatre or find a concert to go.

Sunday: Small shiba meet-up at Bois-de-boulogne, read and research.

I agree with Rachael... All weekend, I am going to be wishing I were having Jess's pies. :)

Tomorrow is a 'school' day for me... So I will be doing a ton of school work. That and it is going to be raining, so the pups and I will get to play 'hide and seek', which is their favourite rainy day game.

Sunday is supposed to be nice, but cool. So maybe a bike ride in the morning, and cleaning the house once I get back, followed by a romp through the trails with the pups so we can dirty up the house again.

Other than that... maybe being a bit lazy?

My weekend started today--- did some leaf looking with my mother and daughter, and checked out potential rentals in several small towns near the town my daughter will be working/quasi-volunteering (Americorp position) beginning in November for a year. Helped my mother move from one apt. to another in her senior building.

Saturday --- help my brother, son, sister and brother-in-law help my mother mover from one apt. to another in her sr. building. Maybe build a bonfire in the backyard in the evening to dispose of her old bank statements and such (easier than shredding--- yes, I know its not so environmentally friendly, but my shredder seems to be worn out, too)...

Sunday --- walk with friends? No doubt, more help to my mother --- I expect there will be more unpacking/organizing/picture hanging, etc. Also no doubt I will have to give her a walkthrough to begin to educate/remind her where everything has been placed in her new apartment. Since she has mobility issues and back pain it is difficult for her to stand and put things away (she's 85). This means I get to organize things for her, and then she will spend the next 2-3 months looking for things, perhaps finding them (and maybe moving them to fit her sense of where things ought to be), and if not found eventually will call and say '''... did you see that thimble (or whatever) I have? Do you know where you put it?"...

Santuzza, maybe you can keep Tosca in your dressing room during the show, I'm sure she would love to help you rehearse in her own special way.
