Today made me realize that my favorite thing about my Shiba... No matter how bad my day, how miserable I am, how rough things may seem; Mylie will always find a way to make me smile and forget my troubles... :)

My favorite thing about my Shiba is when he gets to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's bed on the weekend, he acts like it's no big whoop as he lies down at the foot of the bed but by dawn, we can always find him snuggled in between us snoring loudly :)

My favourite thing about Bella is that she always knows just when I need a little Shiba love (aka licked to death). She really is 100% in tune with my emotions and feelings. If I am feeling excited, she gets excited too (we do a little dance together). If I am upset, she will walk right up to me, put her paw on my knee and give me kisses. And if I am bored, she will come right up and drop her rope bone in my lap (how kind of her).

My favourite thing about Nola is her willingness to accept everything in life as some grand adventure. She is happy about EVERYTHING. She is happy about nap time, going to the vet, me leaving for work in the morning (she waves goodbye), me coming home, walks in the park, everything. She always makes me feel better about everything, because I know that no matter what, she will be happy and joyful once I see her (and it is contagious!).

My dogs are AWESOME. Have I mentioned that lately? :)

Like Melissa, my favorite thing about my dogs is that there is a single day that goes by where they don't put a smile on my face for some reason or another.

Yay I was included! lol ;)

My favorite thing about all six of my birds is that they give me a welcome whenever they see me. 5 of the 6 cockatiels are located in the living room by the window, and whenever they see my car pull up or me get out of someone else's car, they all sound the alarm in welcome :D It's how my father & sister know I'm home, they hear the birds whistling at the top of their lungs. [ which, when five cockatiels do all at once, it can be heard literally, half a mile away. They are LOUD! lol ] They not only do it when I come home, but when I wake up. As soon as I open my bedroom door in the morning all 6 of them start whistling in excitement. I love this, because they get excited only for me. They don't open their little beaks when they see my father or sister, but the second the spot me they get super stoked, een if I'm outside :D

The favorite thing about my iguana is also his greeting, though he does this with my father & sister as well. When we approach him, he starts shaking his head. [ iguana language for hello ] If we shake our heads, he shakes his head right back again. It always puts a smile on my face :) Interestingly enough, when he sees someone else approach him [ ie, friends, extended familly, etc. ] He completely ignores them. It makes me feel like I'm recognised by his royal highness. [ "Ahhh, you've brought me my food. Thank you servant." *head shake* ] lol

Iguana Head Shake = Rare Shiba affection ;) ~

I should also include that being the stubborn Shiba-like puppy she is, Mylie only and always listens to me. My fiance can tell her to stop doing something until he's blue in the face, but the moment I speak she immediately obeys and does so about 98% of the time, I rarely have to tell her "no" twice. While this really isn't so great, and we're working on it, I have to admit, I LOVE IT! I also love how I'm her only cuddle buddy :)
