Furminators Cheap Medium $20 on Amazon

edited November 2008 in General
Hey guys - in case you haven't grab one of these awesome grooming tools, Amazon has it for almost half off, which is a rare occurrence. I'm not sure how long it'll last! I might get a second one just for pong.

if you don't know what it is, here's their official website: http://www.furminator.com/

The videos aren't fake. A LOT of the undercoat comes off. It's best to do it every week/other week when they're shedding so you won't irritate the skin. But it really depends on your dog and what you think it's best for it!

fyi, the bamboo deshedding blade is pretty much identical, but with no handle, and costs $9. I have one and it's awesome! Plus, I have a $5 undercoat rake which also does a stand up job and is better for longer coats because it doesn't cut the guard hairs.

Bamboo Deshedding on Amazon (this says "cat deshedding" but the cat and dog deshedding tools are exactly the same. Same size and everything, but for some reason the "dog" deshedding tool sells for $15 on Amazon.)

I <3 the furminator. Too bad Joey who really needs it doesn't feel the same way. :-(

I still need to invest in one of these, especially for my kittys, they loved to be brushed.

    Thanks!

I love the furminator for Beebe because she doesn't show.
However, I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but it absolutely shreads the gaurd hairs. It's like a stripping knife for terriers, so it removes the guard hair as well and damages the ends. I used it on Ike and it pulled all the ends off his gaurd coat. Otherwise, it is great for the undercoat.
