    Poor babe :( ~

Based on the reactions, I don't think I'm going to like this...

    .... nope. >:-(

The dog is at a great vet (we have been there with Niko for emergency reasons) and I think the vet is adopting the dog (dont recall if it says that).
He truly is trying to convince everyone that he was doing a mercy kill!!
  • edited November -1
Hasn't he ever heard of euthanasia? Sheesh!
  • edited November -1
If it was a mercy killing why the hell would he leave the damn dog at a public park still alive? At least make sure he's actually dead?
  • edited November -1
Is the dog whose owner hit him with a hammer? ;(
  • edited November -1
I think someone needs to hit him with a hammer :(

    Just desserts? ~

And the bail is only set at $25,000 while Plaxico Burres, the NY Giants player who is charged with possession of an unlicensed handgun, has $100,000 bail. I mean seriously. WTF?
  • edited November -1
I will never understand how bail works. Or why animals are considered property in the eyes of the law.

I guess a gun that was not used in any crime is more dangerous than a person who actually bludgeons a living animal with a sledgehammer.
Mercy killing: quick and painless when there are no other options
Seriously, take the dog to a vet or humane society if you think something's wrong...

Dave, I think the law officials need to catch up on their psychological studies. I think everyone knows that those who practice cruelty on animals tend to move onto humans pretty easily. Yet an unused weapon, as Lindsay said, is apparently more dangerous. *sigh*~

that is terrible, I can't believe some people. I read that he is getting death threats from all over the country. Good.
  • edited November -1
The worst part is, I'm not even shocked. I mean it's an awful thing, just terrible, but no longer shocking. Humans are sick.

I think THE OWNER might be sick and poisoned (in the head). Would anyone be upset if I drove to Atlanta with a sledgehammer and beat this guy to within inches of his death and just left him in a cold park to suffer?

It really makes me wish we lived in the middle ages where the law was 'an eye for an eye'.

Casey before you do we have to get the forum bail fund going.

LOL! What if I trained Bella to do it? She can run faster than I can. And she is so cute, that no one would be able to resist her Shiba Mind Control.
  • edited November -1
Hahaha. I could see Bella going all Jedi-like and just making the guy hit himself with a sledgehammer.

"The worst part is, I'm not even shocked. I mean it's an awful thing, just terrible, but no longer shocking. Humans are sick."

    yeah... i know.

    Casey-You can stay with me!
  • edited November -1
    I've got room, too!
  • edited November -1
I will pack my bags immediately, and bring my mind controlling Bella along for the ride.

I have a feeling I am going to have nightmares tonight. Stuff like this just makes my heart ache.

    Some people are seriously disturbed

If I'm not mistaken, they take the income of the person into account when setting bail, so they'd set the bail higher for someone with a large income, like a professional athlete.

But I agree, an unlicensed gun really is small potatoes.

I have to agree with Brandon.

I'd say let the dog have his justice, but he might just forgive the asshole.

Yeah income and flight risk is taken into account but at least around here there's a minimum bail for most offenses. I think the minimums should be raised.
