LJ: can you help out?
LJ, I hate to do this, but do you think you could take the reigns on the t-shirt and calendar? I feel like an ass dumping this off, but I'm buried under a pile of time critical work right now and I have almost no spare cycles to devote to it.
What remains to be done is organizing the submissions so the committee members can filter them, and then putting up a pole for the general population to vote. Would you be willing to help out? I'd really appreciate it!

Bad News - SurveyMonkey.com only allows 10 active questions in a survey. Each image counts as a question and that's without an actual question.
Good news - I've got all the images (lo-res version) loaded onto photobucket.
Here's my thoughts. Number each submission - have people whisper their choices (20 total) to me. Compile the data.
It would look something like this:

Select your top 20 photos (by number) and whisper those selections to ljowen123. The deadline to submit your choices is January 16, 2009, 11:00 PM Eastern.

There are some tricks you can play with survey monkey to get around the number of question restrictions. For example, if you recall the forum survey, all of the "strongly agree" ... "strongly disagree" questions were lumped into one. If you like, I can take a minute or two to figure out how to make it work.
If you can figure a way around it, that would be great.

How does that sound?

I'll let you come up with the wording and we should be good to go.

Otherwise, I think its perfect. We'll just have to make the link open in a new window and we'll have to instruct people to select at most 30 (or whatever). Sound good?
I'm assuming you know the code for making it open in another window?
Alright, here is the text:
After many requests, the survey for the Forum Calendar is available.
Below is a link that will open a new window to the survey. Please keep this window open as well so that you can still see the images you are voting for. Once the survey closes, we’ll have the results posted for you. Please narrow your selections to 24.
