Apparently the salmonella outbreak currently affecting peanut butter based products also includes at least one brand of dog treats. Therefore, you may want to suspend purchase of these products until they are cleared. (http://edition.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/01/21/peanut.recall.treats/)
