WOLF DOG NEEDS HELP!
I got an email from a dear friend of mine in NC yesterday. Delaware, a siberian/wolf mix, bloated. The vet was able to save Dell's life, but the bill is $790. Nancy, who runs Full Moon Farm, has given about everything she has to save wolf dogs. Now she's in the hole for Dell's bill. There isn't enough in her savings to pay the bill.
Dell is an amazing being. Of all the wolfdogs Nancy has at the rescue, Dell is one of my favorites. I've known Dell for years, and to this day, when I go visit, all I have to do is call him and he's howling and wagging his tail. He's a gentle soul, ready to give kisses and greet new people at the drop of a hat. Last year Dell lost his soul mate, Cheyenne, another mix who'd been horribly abused but brought back to good health thanks to Nancy and her volunteers. Poor Dell howled for days after his mate's death.
I know things are tight all over, but if you can help - ANY amount at all, here's the link to Dell's plight: http://www.fullmoonfarm.org/
You can find pics of Dell, as well as the other animals Nancy has saved on her site - the photographs were taken by local professionals who donated their time and effort.
Hubby and I are donating $100 - yeah, I love Dell that much. Just wish I could afford more. All donations and proceeds made out to Full Moon Farm are tax deductible.
Thanks in advance, for either stopping by Nancy's site, or for whatever you can do to help her pay for Dell's bill. If nothing else, email the farm and with a Get Well, Dell! note. I know everyone would appreciate it. Please pass this along to anyone you think might be able to help. Thank you so much.
P.S. I couldn't remember how to do the photo thing, but here's a direct link to Dell's picture: http://www.fullmoonfarm.org/show-picture.php?picture=Delaware&name=Delaware&x=400

It's horrible that vet's don't do payment plans.
There's an agency out there that will pay for the bill completely but I don't remember what they are called. She can sign up for it, then over a few months make payments on it. This way she'll be able to pay the bill and not stress about having to come up with all the money at one time. Times are difficult these days.
These are other Health Care Credit Lines that were recommend as a "subsitute" for pet insurance.

Citi Health Cards
I hope things come through and your friend will be able to cover the costs.
