Killing of dogs in Columbus

Have any of your cities have a sudden up rise in violence against dogs?
I know in Columbus animal abandonment is up by 150% due to the economy and foreclosure which is unfortunate.

But below, just the other day over 12 dogs were found dead in a creek. some were skinned and seemed to have been killed for no reason. it is awful!

below is a link to an article of a firefighter that shot his dogs in december. This article doesn't mention it since it is old, but they found out he tied the dogs up from the rafters in his basement and shot them.

It seems like people are becoming more and more sick these days

hm i think it will shock you but i think in Chin they skin dogs alive legal. Companies use their skin and meat... It's ugly and horrible!! Some animal-law-organizations try to do something against it, but you know.. China is ...complicated ...

My dear, people have been sick...in 2007 there was this really heart wrenching case about a pitty mix set ablaze in the woods, found several days later by a wandering kid. Links:

The only thing I can say is that sometimes there is a case that is so terrible that it encourages people to do something. Sometimes these situations go unknown until something happens to bring it to light.
