ATL April Meetup --- NEW PICS ADDED

I'm a total slacker - I only took a couple of photos. Dave was there and took a whole lot more, so I'm hoping he'll load those soon. Jazz was fine when we first got to the park, but then 2 Leonbergers came in and, apparently, that ticked her majesty off. She did get down a couple of times and even jumped down once, but she spent most of the time in my lap.

It was great to see Chad & Rachael - I'll miss them & Niko and Sasha when they move north. Elijah is growing like a weed. Lucy & Joey looked great - Lucy's ear didn't look near as bad as I imagined. Amber (akobelt) was also there with 2 of her dogs. It was a small group today - mainly because everywhere else in town it was raining - just not at the dog park.

    Sounds like a good meet! I miss the ATL meetups. :o( I wish some Nihonken people lived around here.

    Aslan (the big guy) was very sweet - he just wanted to be near people. I wish we had a bigger turnout, but with the weather, that's the way it goes. I was pretty thrilled myself - that was the 1st time I had met any in person.

    Ditto for me on meeting the Leonbergers. I was walking up to the park and did a double take. The first thought that popped into my head was "Holy sh&%, what are Luytiy and Masha doing here!?!?!?"

    In addition to our Shiba meetup, there was a Husky meetup and also a Rat Terrier meetup in the small dog area. It will probably take me a day or so to work through my photos, but they'll be up soon.

    Lucy and Joey are dead to the world right now. I took them on a doggy play date last night where I BBQed with some friends. Joey met his new BFF, a 4.5 month old ACD named Dewie. Then 2 hours at the meetup today and they aren't even opening their eyes when I get up and move around. :-)

    I don't know if it's me but those Leos looks kind of small...(it might be me, because we met a Serra da Estrela yesterday at the park and he looked kind of small too).
    Aslan sounds like the typical Leo, a big lap dog :-P It's a pity that Jazz didn't like them.

    That one dog looks so much like Masha.

    Those huskies are pretty dogs.

    Great shots! We had fun but are very sad to be leaving our shiba friends. Niko and Sasha were POOPED!

    Beautiful pictures! I love that one of Lucy being chased. :)

    And Sasha is looking lovely being care free. And of course, Elijah is just as adorable as ever.

    Cool photos Dave! I really like the photo of Lucy running from the husky :-)
    Joey looks great on that photo running on the grass.
    The frontal photo of Aslan is really cool, it looks like he has glasses on.
