We are having some fence work done this week. Since they had their bobcat here I asked if the fence guys would dig us 2 6x8 foot holes - one 2 feet deep and the other is 3 feet deep. These holes are the start of some "cooling dens" we will be building out of cinder blocks for the dogs.
Blue's nose is dirty like that because he felt the need to dig is very own hole NEXT TO the giant hole. LOL
Dusty paw prints is a constant around here, there is no escaping them giant dirt mound or not. The muddy paws are the ones that kill Jen and I... or when the mud has dried enough to be clumpy, and big old Luytiy decided to jump on to the couch. *sigh*

I realized I double posted the first image, i meant to post this one...
That's awesome-I wondered about how these types of dogs would do with having a den built vs a traditional kennel or dog house. The den seems much more in tune with their nature. Cool idea.
I have a lot of dirt in my yard and Lynx had the exact same idea. She made her very own "cooling den" by digging into the mound of dirt I had back there. The Shikoku loved it too. Unfortunely I had to tear it down -frowns-.
